Lymph nodes...thank goodness!

Emily and I were planning on meeting at the Fort Worth Zoo this morning with our babies, but when I was feeding Asher, I noticed a knot on his neck. It concerned Beau and me, so we took him to the doctor in Waco. It was just as his doctor had suspected over the phone - swollen lymph nodes. He has a little sore throat - no big deal! I'm SO THANKFUL for his good health!!!

Beau was able to go with us to Waco, so when we were finished at the doctor's, we went and had a quick lunch at Panda Express. Great orange chicken and Mongolian chicken!!! Chinese is Beau's FAVORITE, so it's always a fun treat when we can get that...no Chinese in the big city of Glen Rose!

Upon returning home, Beau went back to work, Asher and I played for a while, he went down for a nap, I baked chocolate chip cookies, checked email, and now he's waking up from a nap...so I better go.

Happy 37th Anniversary Mom and Dad!!! Thanks for showing us what love and commitment are all about!!! We love you!

Great blog, sister. Now I am feeling the pressure. Corey said a long time ago that I should blog, but I don't think that my thoughts are worth sharing usually. Then, I read your thoughts about bugs... now I am reconsidering.

I know what you mean, but you SHOULD. Why not? That's my motto. =) Love you!

Hey, WAIT! Are you saying that if I can share my thoughts about bugs, then SURELY YOUR thoughts would be worth sharing??? =) I can't help it. I think weird things.

I am thrilled that you and Amy are doing this! Your blog is so cool looking, I somehow misseed this template. I also like that you linked your picasa website, I think that I will do that with mine too. I love you like crazy and I totally know what you mean about the intense love that you never expected having for your kid, that is exactly how I feel.

Blog smog; loveitloveitloveit!
Your 'buggy' thoughts are what makes the world go round. 'Off the top of your head' is my kind of writing. Isn't that the truth too... about the bug sounds in the country I mean? Was just listening to a cricket or two last evening my own self. The rhythm of nature makes me feel cozy and safe somehow. Thanks for the kind thoughts about Daddy and I being married for... well, almost FOREVER! :0) It's been quite the journey let me tell you. Good, challenging, romantic, maddening, fun, amazing, heartbreaking, heartwarming, hilarious, romantic, challenging, etc. etc. ... My sweet Darrell is the love of my life. Ma

Okay, I feel like I'm eavesdropping in on a family gathering, but since you told us about the post, Sara, I'm taking you up on reading it. I don't have much leisure time at the computer these days, but I certainly enjoyed reading about your day-to-day life! I have to agree that the "bugs" posting was my absolute favorite! I could totally hear you saying it, too - I love it! Well, cheers to all of you, and maybe I'll stop by some other time and say "hi"! -- Erin Venable
